Basically, the lyric prank, or sometimes called the lyric challenge, is challenging developed by some guy called Mike Fox. The basic ‘rules'of the task are that you text someone (usually a partner or a member of family, depending on what the song is) song lyric.
You're prohibited to use anything however the lyrics of the song. Say as an example you used ‘Sorry'by good ol'Justin Bieber, your conversation would go something such as this (let's just use your clueless mom) :

Mom: What ? Maybe you have lost the plot again ?

Mom: that's certainly true. What's this even about michael (??)
You: I hope I don't come to an end of time, will someone call a referee ?

A lyric prank is when you text your friend, family or significant others lyrics to a song. But what you do is you text them in single sentences and be cryptic, like: “I'm so into you, I will barely breathe” watch for their response. Then type another verse, “And all I wanna do is always to fall in deep” - watch for a response.
Their response will usually be confusion. That example is Ariana Grande “Into You” - take the lyric and send your “victim” the text.







A lyric prank is some text messages sent using words from a certain song to a certain person. The prank is mainly to troll the mark or to get them super confused.

A lyric prank is when you're texting someone the lyrics of a song and they don't it. Example:
