Basically, the lyric prank, or sometimes known as the lyric challenge, is a challenge developed by a man called Mike Fox. The fundamental ‘rules'of the challenge are that you text someone (usually a man or a member of family, depending on what the song is) song lyric.
You're banned to use anything but the lyrics of that song. Say as an example you used ‘Sorry'by good ol'Justin Bieber, your conversation would go something such as this (let's just use your clueless mom) :

A lyric prank is once you text your friend, family or significant others lyrics to a song. But that which you do is you text them in single sentences and be cryptic, like: “I'm so into you, I can barely breathe” wait for their response. Then type the next verse, “And all I wanna do is always to fall in deep” - await a response.
Their response will often be confusion. That example is Ariana Grande “Into You” - simply take the lyric and send your “victim” the text.
