Basically, the lyric prank, or sometimes referred to as the lyric challenge, is a challenge produced by a man called Mike Fox. The basic ‘rules'of the challenge are that you text someone (usually a sweetheart or a member of family, depending on what the song is) song lyric.
You're banned to make use of anything but the lyrics of the song. Say for example you used ‘Sorry'by good ol'Justin Bieber, your conversation would go something similar to this (let's just use your clueless mom) :

You: You understand I try but I don't do to well with apologies

You: I am hoping I don't run out of time, will someone call a referee ?

A lyric prank is whenever you text your friend, family or significant others lyrics to a song. But that which you do is you text them in single sentences and be cryptic, like: “I'm so into you, I could barely breathe” wait for their response. Then type the following verse, “And all I wanna do would be to fall in deep” - wait for a response.
Their response will often be confusion. That example is Ariana Grande “Into You” - just take the lyric and send your “victim” the text.







A lyric prank is some texting sent using words from the certain song to a particular person. The prank is mainly to troll the prospective or to get them super confused.
