Basically, the lyric prank, or sometimes known as the lyric challenge, is a challenge developed by a man called Mike Fox. The fundamental ‘rules'of the task are that you text someone (usually a sweetheart or a relative, depending about what the song is) song lyric.
You're not allowed to use anything but the lyrics of this song. Say like you used ‘Sorry'by good ol'Justin Bieber, your conversation would go something such as this (let's just use your clueless mom) :

You: You gotta go and get angry at all of my honesty
Mom: What ? Have you lost the plot again ?
You: You know I try but I don't do to well with apologies
Mom: that's certainly true. What's this even about michael (??)
You: I really hope I don't come to an end of time, will someone call a referee ?

A lyric prank is whenever you text your friend, family or significant others lyrics to a song. But everything you do is you text them in single sentences and be cryptic, like: “I'm so into you, I will barely breathe” watch for their response. Then type the following verse, “And all I wanna do is to fall in deep” - wait for a response.
Their response will usually be confusion. That example is Ariana Grande “Into You” - take the lyric and send your “victim” the text.
