Basically, the lyric prank, or sometimes called the lyric challenge, is challenging developed by a guy called Mike Fox. The essential ‘rules'of the challenge are that you text someone (usually a boyfriend or a member of family, depending on what the song is) song lyric.
You're not allowed to use anything but the lyrics of the song. Say as an example you used ‘Sorry'by good ol'Justin Bieber, your conversation would go something similar to this (let's just use your clueless mom) :

You: You gotta go and get angry at all of my honesty
Mom: What ? Maybe you have lost the plot again ?
You: You understand I try but I don't do to well with apologies
Mom: that's certainly true. What's this even about michael (??)
You: I am hoping I don't run out of time, will someone call a referee ?
Mom: You're up for adoption
You: -_-
You: IT'S A PRANK
Mom: you're still up for adoption
You: …

A lyric prank is once you text your friend, family or significant others lyrics to a song. But everything you do is you text them in single sentences and be cryptic, like: “I'm so into you, I can barely breathe” await their response. Then type the next verse, “And all I wanna do is always to fall in deep” - watch for a response.
Their response will most likely be confusion. That example is Ariana Grande “Into You” - just take the lyric and send your “victim” the text.







A lyric prank is some texts sent using words from a certain song to a certain person. The prank is mostly to troll the mark or to get them super confused.

A lyric prank is when you're texting someone the lyrics of a song and they don't it. Example:
