Basically, the lyric prank, or sometimes known as the lyric challenge, is challenging created by a guy called Mike Fox. The basic ‘rules'of the process are that you text someone (usually a sweetheart or a family member, depending on which the song is) song lyric.
You're not allowed to use anything however the lyrics of this song. Say for instance you used ‘Sorry'by good ol'Justin Bieber, your conversation would go something like this (let's just use your clueless mom) :
You: You gotta go and get angry at all of my honesty
Mom: What ? Have you lost the plot again ?
You: You understand I try but I don't do to well with apologies
Mom: that's certainly true. What's this even about michael (??)
You: I am hoping I don't come to an end of time, will someone call a referee ?
Mom: You're up for adoption
You: -_-
You: IT'S A PRANK
Mom: you're still up for adoption
You: …
See ? And that, ladies and gentle men, may be the Lyric Prank.
A lyric prank is when you text your friend, family or significant others lyrics to a song. But what you do is you text them in single sentences and be cryptic, like: “I'm so into you, I will barely breathe” wait for their response. Then type another verse, “And all I wanna do would be to fall in deep” - wait for a response.
Their response will most likely be confusion. That example is Ariana Grande “Into You” - just take the lyric and send your “victim” the text.
A lyric prank is a series of text messages sent using words from a certain song to a certain person. The prank is mostly to troll the goal or to get them super confused.

A lyric prank is when you are texting someone the lyrics of a tune and they don't really it. Example:
