Basically, the lyric prank, or sometimes known as the lyric challenge, is a challenge created by some guy called Mike Fox. The essential ‘rules'of the task are that you text someone (usually a sweetheart or a relative, depending on which the song is) song lyric.
You're not allowed to make use of anything but the lyrics of this song. Say for example you used ‘Sorry'by good ol'Justin Bieber, your conversation would go something like this (let's just use your clueless mom) :
