Basically, the lyric prank, or sometimes called the lyric challenge, is a challenge developed by a guy called Mike Fox. The essential ‘rules'of the task are that you text someone (usually a partner or a family member, depending on which the song is) song lyric.
You're banned to use anything but the lyrics of that song. Say like you used ‘Sorry'by good ol'Justin Bieber, your conversation would go something such as this (let's just use your clueless mom) :

Mom: What ? Have you lost the plot again ?
You: You realize I try but I don't do to well with apologies

A lyric prank is once you text your friend, family or significant others lyrics to a song. But that which you do is you text them in single sentences and be cryptic, like: “I'm so into you, I can barely breathe” await their response. Then type another verse, “And all I wanna do is to fall in deep” - watch for a response.
Their response will usually be confusion. That example is Ariana Grande “Into You” - just take the lyric and send your “victim” the text.
