Basically, the lyric prank, or sometimes called the lyric challenge, is challenging developed by a man called Mike Fox. The fundamental ‘rules'of the task are that you text someone (usually a boyfriend or a relative, depending on which the song is) song lyric.
You're banned to utilize anything but the lyrics of that song. Say for instance you used ‘Sorry'by good ol'Justin Bieber, your conversation would go something similar to this (let's just use your clueless mom) :
You: You gotta go and get angry at all my honesty
Mom: What ? Have you lost the plot again ?
You: You understand I try but I don't do to well with apologies
Mom: that's certainly true. What's this even about michael (??)
You: I am hoping I don't run out of time, will someone call a referee ?
Mom: You're up for adoption
You: -_-
You: IT'S A PRANK
Mom: you're still up for adoption
You: …
See ? And that, ladies and gentle men, could be the Lyric Prank.
A lyric prank is once you text your friend, family or significant others lyrics to a song. But what you do is you text them in single sentences and be cryptic, like: “I'm so into you, I can barely breathe” wait for their response. Then type the next verse, “And all I wanna do is always to fall in deep” - wait for a response.
Their response will usually be confusion. That example is Ariana Grande “Into You” - take the lyric and send your “victim” the text.
A lyric prank is some text messages sent using words from the certain song to a certain person. The prank is mostly to troll the goal or to get them super confused.

A lyric prank is when you're texting someone the lyrics of a song and they don't it. Example:
John: It's been a lengthy day, without you my friend.
Jane: I understand right. I haven't seen you all day!
John: And I'll inform you about it when I see you again.
Jane: Why don't you tell me today?
John: We've come a long way from where we began
Jane: WAIT!! You remember when we met? In 2nd grade!!
John: Oh I'll let you know exactly about it when I help you again.
Jane: Why can't you just tell me now!!?
John: When I help you again.
Jane: Oh!! You wish to allow it to be special!! When I see you again we will talk.
