Basically, the lyric prank, or sometimes known as the lyric challenge, is difficult produced by a man called Mike Fox. The essential ‘rules'of the process are that you text someone (usually a partner or a family member, depending on which the song is) song lyric.

Mom: you're still up for adoption

A lyric prank is once you text your friend, family or significant others lyrics to a song. But what you do is you text them in single sentences and be cryptic, like: “I'm so into you, I will barely breathe” watch for their response. Then type the following verse, “And all I wanna do would be to fall in deep” - watch for a response.
Their response will often be confusion. That example is Ariana Grande “Into You” - just take the lyric and send your “victim” the text.
A lyric prank is a series of texting sent using words from a certain song to a particular person. The prank is mostly to troll the target or to get them super confused.

A lyric prank is when you're texting someone the lyrics of a tune and they don't really it. Example:
