Basically, the lyric prank, or sometimes referred to as the lyric challenge, is a challenge created by a man called Mike Fox. The essential ‘rules'of the process are that you text someone (usually a partner or a relative, depending on which the song is) song lyric.
You're not allowed to use anything however the lyrics of the song. Say for instance you used ‘Sorry'by good ol'Justin Bieber, your conversation would go something like this (let's just use your clueless mom) :
You: You gotta go and get angry at every one of my honesty
Mom: What ? Perhaps you have lost the plot again ?
You: You know I try but I don't do to well with apologies
Mom: that's certainly true. What's this even about michael (??)
You: I am hoping I don't run out of time, will someone call a referee ?
Mom: You're up for adoption

You: IT'S A PRANK
Mom: you're still up for adoption
You: …
See ? And that, ladies and gentle men, may be the Lyric Prank.
A lyric prank is once you text your friend, family or significant others lyrics to a song. But that which you do is you text them in single sentences and be cryptic, like: “I'm so into you, I can barely breathe” await their response. Then type the next verse, “And all I wanna do would be to fall in deep” - watch for a response.
Their response will often be confusion. That example is Ariana Grande “Into You” - take the lyric and send your “victim” the text.
A lyric prank is some texting sent using words from the certain song to a certain person. The prank is mostly to troll the mark or to obtain them super confused.
