Basically, the lyric prank, or sometimes referred to as the lyric challenge, is a challenge created by a man called Mike Fox. The essential ‘rules'of the challenge are that you text someone (usually a companion or a relative, depending about what the song is) song lyric.
You're banned to use anything but the lyrics of this song. Say like you used ‘Sorry'by good ol'Justin Bieber, your conversation would go something similar to this (let's just use your clueless mom) :

A lyric prank is when you text your friend, family or significant others lyrics to a song. But everything you do is you text them in single sentences and be cryptic, like: “I'm so into you, I could barely breathe” watch for their response. Then type the following verse, “And all I wanna do is to fall in deep” - wait for a response.
Their response will often be confusion. That example is Ariana Grande “Into You” - simply take the lyric and send your “victim” the text.
