Basically, the lyric prank, or sometimes called the lyric challenge, is difficult developed by a guy called Mike Fox. The fundamental ‘rules'of the process are that you text someone (usually a partner or a relative, depending on which the song is) song lyric.
You're prohibited to utilize anything but the lyrics of that song. Say as an example you used ‘Sorry'by good ol'Justin Bieber, your conversation would go something similar to this (let's just use your clueless mom) :
You: You gotta go and get angry at all my honesty
Mom: What ? Perhaps you have lost the plot again ?
You: You understand I try but I don't do to well with apologies
Mom: that's certainly true. What's this even about michael (??)
You: I really hope I don't go out of time, will someone call a referee ?
Mom: You're up for adoption
You: -_-
You: IT'S A PRANK
Mom: you're still up for adoption
You: …
See ? And that, ladies and gentle men, could be the Lyric Prank.
A lyric prank is once you text your friend, family or significant others lyrics to a song. But that which you do is you text them in single sentences and be cryptic, like: “I'm so into you, I can barely breathe” wait for their response. Then type the following verse, “And all I wanna do is to fall in deep” - wait for a response.
Their response will often be confusion. That example is Ariana Grande “Into You” - take the lyric and send your “victim” the text.
A lyric prank is some texting sent using words from the certain song to a specific person. The prank is mostly to troll the prospective or to get them super confused.

A lyric prank is if you are texting someone the lyrics of a tune and they don't it. Example:
John: It's been an extended day, without you my friend.
Jane: I am aware right. I haven't seen you all day!

Jane: Why don't you tell me right now?
John: We've come quite a distance from where we began
Jane: WAIT!! You remember when we met? In 2nd grade!!
John: Oh I'll tell you exactly about it when I help you again.
Jane: Why can't you merely tell me now!!?

Jane: Oh!! You intend to ensure it is special!! When I see you again we will talk.
