Basically, the lyric prank, or sometimes known as the lyric challenge, is challenging created by a guy called Mike Fox. The fundamental ‘rules'of the challenge are that you text someone (usually a partner or a member of family, depending on what the song is) song lyric.
You're not allowed to make use of anything but the lyrics of that song. Say for instance you used ‘Sorry'by good ol'Justin Bieber, your conversation would go something like this (let's just use your clueless mom) :

A lyric prank is once you text your friend, family or significant others lyrics to a song. But that which you do is you text them in single sentences and be cryptic, like: “I'm so into you, I will barely breathe” await their response. Then type the next verse, “And all I wanna do would be to fall in deep” - watch for a response.
Their response will often be confusion. That example is Ariana Grande “Into You” - simply take the lyric and send your “victim” the text.
