Basically, the lyric prank, or sometimes known as the lyric challenge, is challenging produced by a guy called Mike Fox. The basic ‘rules'of the challenge are that you text someone (usually a partner or a relative, depending on what the song is) song lyric.
You're banned to utilize anything but the lyrics of the song. Say for example you used ‘Sorry'by good ol'Justin Bieber, your conversation would go something such as this (let's just use your clueless mom) :

Mom: that's certainly true. What's this even about michael (??)
You: I hope I don't come to an end of time, will someone call a referee ?

Mom: you're still up for adoption
You: …

A lyric prank is when you text your friend, family or significant others lyrics to a song. But that which you do is you text them in single sentences and be cryptic, like: “I'm so into you, I can barely breathe” wait for their response. Then type the next verse, “And all I wanna do is always to fall in deep” - watch for a response.
Their response will usually be confusion. That example is Ariana Grande “Into You” - simply take the lyric and send your “victim” the text.
