Basically, the lyric prank, or sometimes called the lyric challenge, is difficult created by a guy called Mike Fox. The basic ‘rules'of the process are that you text someone (usually a boyfriend or a member of family, depending about what the song is) song lyric.
You're not allowed to use anything but the lyrics of the song. Say for example you used ‘Sorry'by good ol'Justin Bieber, your conversation would go something similar to this (let's just use your clueless mom) :

A lyric prank is once you text your friend, family or significant others lyrics to a song. But what you do is you text them in single sentences and be cryptic, like: “I'm so into you, I could barely breathe” watch for their response. Then type the following verse, “And all I wanna do is to fall in deep” - watch for a response.
Their response will most likely be confusion. That example is Ariana Grande “Into You” - simply take the lyric and send your “victim” the text.

A lyric prank is some texts sent using words from a certain song to a particular person. The prank is certainly caused by to troll the goal or to get them super confused.
