Basically, the lyric prank, or sometimes called the lyric challenge, is difficult developed by a man called Mike Fox. The basic ‘rules'of the process are that you text someone (usually a boyfriend or a relative, depending about what the song is) song lyric.
You're banned to make use of anything but the lyrics of this song. Say for example you used ‘Sorry'by good ol'Justin Bieber, your conversation would go something like this (let's just use your clueless mom) :

A lyric prank is when you text your friend, family or significant others lyrics to a song. But what you do is you text them in single sentences and be cryptic, like: “I'm so into you, I will barely breathe” await their response. Then type another verse, “And all I wanna do is always to fall in deep” - wait for a response.
Their response will usually be confusion. That example is Ariana Grande “Into You” - take the lyric and send your “victim” the text.
