Basically, the lyric prank, or sometimes called the lyric challenge, is a challenge created by a guy called Mike Fox. The fundamental ‘rules'of the task are that you text someone (usually a partner or a relative, depending on which the song is) song lyric.
You're prohibited to use anything nevertheless the lyrics of the song. Say as an example you used ‘Sorry'by good ol'Justin Bieber, your conversation would go something similar to this (let's just use your clueless mom) :

A lyric prank is once you text your friend, family or significant others lyrics to a song. But everything you do is you text them in single sentences and be cryptic, like: “I'm so into you, I can barely breathe” watch for their response. Then type another verse, “And all I wanna do is always to fall in deep” - watch for a response.
Their response will most likely be confusion. That example is Ariana Grande “Into You” - simply take the lyric and send your “victim” the text.
