Basically, the lyric prank, or sometimes called the lyric challenge, is difficult produced by a guy called Mike Fox. The fundamental ‘rules'of the challenge are that you text someone (usually a boyfriend or a member of family, depending about what the song is) song lyric.
You're banned to utilize anything but the lyrics of that song. Say like you used ‘Sorry'by good ol'Justin Bieber, your conversation would go something similar to this (let's just use your clueless mom) :

Mom: What ? Have you lost the plot again ?
You: You realize I try but I don't do to well with apologies
Mom: that's certainly true. What's this even about michael (??)
You: I hope I don't come to an end of time, will someone call a referee ?
Mom: You're up for adoption

You: IT'S A PRANK
Mom: you're still up for adoption
You: …
See ? And that, ladies and gentle men, could be the Lyric Prank.
A lyric prank is whenever you text your friend, family or significant others lyrics to a song. But what you do is you text them in single sentences and be cryptic, like: “I'm so into you, I could barely breathe” watch for their response. Then type another verse, “And all I wanna do is to fall in deep” - wait for a response.
Their response will usually be confusion. That example is Ariana Grande “Into You” - take the lyric and send your “victim” the text.
A lyric prank is some text messages sent using words from the certain song to a particular person. The prank is mainly to troll the mark or to get them super confused.

A lyric prank is when you are texting someone the lyrics of a song and they do not it. Example:
John: It's been an extended day, without you my friend.
