Basically, the lyric prank, or sometimes called the lyric challenge, is challenging created by a man called Mike Fox. The fundamental ‘rules'of the challenge are that you text someone (usually a boyfriend or a relative, depending about what the song is) song lyric.
You're not allowed to use anything however the lyrics of this song. Say for example you used ‘Sorry'by good ol'Justin Bieber, your conversation would go something like this (let's just use your clueless mom) :

A lyric prank is whenever you text your friend, family or significant others lyrics to a song. But everything you do is you text them in single sentences and be cryptic, like: “I'm so into you, I can barely breathe” wait for their response. Then type another verse, “And all I wanna do is to fall in deep” - wait for a response.
Their response will most likely be confusion. That example is Ariana Grande “Into You” - just take the lyric and send your “victim” the text.
A lyric prank is some text messages sent using words from a certain song to a particular person. The prank is mostly to troll the prospective or to have them super confused.
