Basically, the lyric prank, or sometimes known as the lyric challenge, is a challenge created by a guy called Mike Fox. The essential ‘rules'of the challenge are that you text someone (usually a man or a family member, depending on what the song is) song lyric.
You're banned to use anything but the lyrics of the song. Say for example you used ‘Sorry'by good ol'Justin Bieber, your conversation would go something like this (let's just use your clueless mom) :
You: You gotta go and get angry at all my honesty
Mom: What ? Maybe you have lost the plot again ?
You: You understand I try but I don't do to well with apologies
Mom: that's certainly true. What's this even about michael (??)
You: I really hope I don't run out of time, will someone call a referee ?
Mom: You're up for adoption
You: -_-
You: IT'S A PRANK
Mom: you're still up for adoption
You: …
See ? And that, ladies and gentle men, may be the Lyric Prank.
A lyric prank is once you text your friend, family or significant others lyrics to a song. But what you do is you text them in single sentences and be cryptic, like: “I'm so into you, I can barely breathe” watch for their response. Then type the next verse, “And all I wanna do is always to fall in deep” - watch for a response.
Their response will most likely be confusion. That example is Ariana Grande “Into You” - just take the lyric and send your “victim” the text.
A lyric prank is some text messages sent using words from the certain song to a specific person. The prank is certainly caused by to troll the target or to obtain them super confused.

A lyric prank is if you are texting someone the lyrics of a tune and they don't it. Example:
