Basically, the lyric prank, or sometimes called the lyric challenge, is challenging produced by a man called Mike Fox. The basic ‘rules'of the task are that you text someone (usually a sweetheart or a family member, depending on what the song is) song lyric.
You're not allowed to make use of anything nevertheless the lyrics of the song. Say for instance you used ‘Sorry'by good ol'Justin Bieber, your conversation would go something similar to this (let's just use your clueless mom) :

You: You gotta go and get angry at every one of my honesty
Mom: What ? Have you lost the plot again ?
You: You understand I try but I don't do to well with apologies
Mom: that's certainly true. What's this even about michael (??)
You: I hope I don't go out of time, will someone call a referee ?
Mom: You're up for adoption
You: -_-
You: IT'S A PRANK
Mom: you're still up for adoption
You: …
See ? And that, ladies and gentle men, may be the Lyric Prank.

A lyric prank is when you text your friend, family or significant others lyrics to a song. But everything you do is you text them in single sentences and be cryptic, like: “I'm so into you, I could barely breathe” watch for their response. Then type the next verse, “And all I wanna do is always to fall in deep” - wait for a response.
Their response will most likely be confusion. That example is Ariana Grande “Into You” - simply take the lyric and send your “victim” the text.

A lyric prank is some texting sent using words from the certain song to a particular person. The prank is certainly caused by to troll the target or to have them super confused.
