Basically, the lyric prank, or sometimes known as the lyric challenge, is a challenge produced by a man called Mike Fox. The essential ‘rules'of the challenge are that you text someone (usually a partner or a relative, depending on what the song is) song lyric.
You're banned to make use of anything but the lyrics of that song. Say for example you used ‘Sorry'by good ol'Justin Bieber, your conversation would go something like this (let's just use your clueless mom) :

A lyric prank is when you text your friend, family or significant others lyrics to a song. But everything you do is you text them in single sentences and be cryptic, like: “I'm so into you, I could barely breathe” await their response. Then type the following verse, “And all I wanna do would be to fall in deep” - wait for a response.
Their response will usually be confusion. That example is Ariana Grande “Into You” - just take the lyric and send your “victim” the text.
