Basically, the lyric prank, or sometimes referred to as the lyric challenge, is difficult created by some guy called Mike Fox. The basic ‘rules'of the task are that you text someone (usually a man or a family member, depending about what the song is) song lyric.
You're banned to make use of anything but the lyrics of that song. Say for instance you used ‘Sorry'by good ol'Justin Bieber, your conversation would go something similar to this (let's just use your clueless mom) :
You: You gotta go and get angry at all my honesty
Mom: What ? Have you lost the plot again ?
You: You realize I try but I don't do to well with apologies
Mom: that's certainly true. What's this even about michael (??)
You: I really hope I don't go out of time, will someone call a referee ?
Mom: You're up for adoption
You: -_-
You: IT'S A PRANK
Mom: you're still up for adoption
You: …
See ? And that, ladies and gentle men, is the Lyric Prank.
A lyric prank is when you text your friend, family or significant others lyrics to a song. But what you do is you text them in single sentences and be cryptic, like: “I'm so into you, I can barely breathe” wait for their response. Then type the following verse, “And all I wanna do is to fall in deep” - wait for a response.
Their response will often be confusion. That example is Ariana Grande “Into You” - simply take the lyric and send your “victim” the text.
A lyric prank is a series of texts sent using words from the certain song to a specific person. The prank is mostly to troll the goal or to get them super confused.

Jane: I am aware right. I haven't seen you all day long!
John: And I'll inform you all about it when I see you again.
Jane: Why don't you tell me right now?
John: We've come a considerable ways from where we began
Jane: WAIT!! You remember when we met? In 2nd grade!!
John: Oh I'll inform you all about it when I see you again.
