Basically, the lyric prank, or sometimes referred to as the lyric challenge, is difficult created by some guy called Mike Fox. The basic ‘rules'of the challenge are that you text someone (usually a man or a member of family, depending about what the song is) song lyric.
You're prohibited to utilize anything but the lyrics of that song. Say for instance you used ‘Sorry'by good ol'Justin Bieber, your conversation would go something such as this (let's just use your clueless mom) :
You: You gotta go and get angry at all my honesty
Mom: What ? Have you lost the plot again ?
You: You know I try but I don't do to well with apologies
Mom: that's certainly true. What's this even about michael (??)
You: I am hoping I don't run out of time, will someone call a referee ?
Mom: You're up for adoption
You: -_-
You: IT'S A PRANK
Mom: you're still up for adoption
You: …
See ? And that, ladies and gentle men, may be the Lyric Prank.
A lyric prank is when you text your friend, family or significant others lyrics to a song. But that which you do is you text them in single sentences and be cryptic, like: “I'm so into you, I can barely breathe” watch for their response. Then type the next verse, “And all I wanna do is always to fall in deep” - wait for a response.
Their response will often be confusion. That example is Ariana Grande “Into You” - take the lyric and send your “victim” the text.
A lyric prank is some text messages sent using words from a certain song to a certain person. The prank is mostly to troll the target or to have them super confused.

A lyric prank is if you are texting someone the lyrics of a song and they don't it. Example:
John: This has been an extended day, without you my friend.
Jane: I am aware right. I haven't seen you all day long!
John: And I'll let you know about it when I help you again.
Jane: Why don't you tell me right now?
John: We've come a long way from where we began
Jane: WAIT!! You remember whenever we met? In 2nd grade!!
John: Oh I'll let you know all about it when I help you again.
Jane: Why can't you just tell me now!!?
John: When I help you again.
Jane: Oh!! You intend to allow it to be special!! When I see you again we shall talk.
