Basically, the lyric prank, or sometimes referred to as the lyric challenge, is a challenge created by a man called Mike Fox. The fundamental ‘rules'of the challenge are that you text someone (usually a companion or a relative, depending about what the song is) song lyric.
You're prohibited to use anything nevertheless the lyrics of the song. Say for instance you used ‘Sorry'by good ol'Justin Bieber, your conversation would go something such as this (let's just use your clueless mom) :
You: You gotta go and get angry at each of my honesty
Mom: What ? Have you lost the plot again ?
You: You know I try but I don't do to well with apologies
Mom: that's certainly true. What's this even about michael (??)
You: I am hoping I don't come to an end of time, will someone call a referee ?
Mom: You're up for adoption
You: -_-
You: IT'S A PRANK
Mom: you're still up for adoption
You: …
See ? And that, ladies and gentle men, is the Lyric Prank.
A lyric prank is whenever you text your friend, family or significant others lyrics to a song. But everything you do is you text them in single sentences and be cryptic, like: “I'm so into you, I can barely breathe” wait for their response. Then type the following verse, “And all I wanna do is to fall in deep” - wait for a response.
Their response will most likely be confusion. That example is Ariana Grande “Into You” - just take the lyric and send your “victim” the text.
A lyric prank is some text messages sent using words from the certain song to a specific person. The prank is mostly to troll the prospective or to obtain them super confused.

A lyric prank is when you're texting someone the lyrics of a song and they don't really it. Example:
