Basically, the lyric prank, or sometimes referred to as the lyric challenge, is a challenge created by a man called Mike Fox. The fundamental ‘rules'of the challenge are that you text someone (usually a man or a member of family, depending on which the song is) song lyric.
You're banned to use anything however the lyrics of that song. Say like you used ‘Sorry'by good ol'Justin Bieber, your conversation would go something similar to this (let's just use your clueless mom) :

A lyric prank is when you text your friend, family or significant others lyrics to a song. But that which you do is you text them in single sentences and be cryptic, like: “I'm so into you, I will barely breathe” await their response. Then type the following verse, “And all I wanna do is to fall in deep” - await a response.
Their response will often be confusion. That example is Ariana Grande “Into You” - take the lyric and send your “victim” the text.
