Basically, the lyric prank, or sometimes referred to as the lyric challenge, is challenging created by a guy called Mike Fox. The fundamental ‘rules'of the task are that you text someone (usually a man or a relative, depending on what the song is) song lyric.
You're prohibited to utilize anything but the lyrics of that song. Say like you used ‘Sorry'by good ol'Justin Bieber, your conversation would go something like this (let's just use your clueless mom) :

You: You gotta go and get angry at every one of my honesty
Mom: What ? Have you lost the plot again ?
You: You know I try but I don't do to well with apologies
Mom: that's certainly true. What's this even about michael (??)
You: I hope I don't go out of time, will someone call a referee ?
Mom: You're up for adoption
You: -_-
You: IT'S A PRANK
Mom: you're still up for adoption
You: …

A lyric prank is once you text your friend, family or significant others lyrics to a song. But everything you do is you text them in single sentences and be cryptic, like: “I'm so into you, I will barely breathe” await their response. Then type the following verse, “And all I wanna do is to fall in deep” - await a response.
Their response will usually be confusion. That example is Ariana Grande “Into You” - simply take the lyric and send your “victim” the text.
