Basically, the lyric prank, or sometimes referred to as the lyric challenge, is a challenge produced by a guy called Mike Fox. The essential ‘rules'of the task are that you text someone (usually a sweetheart or a family member, depending on what the song is) song lyric.

A lyric prank is once you text your friend, family or significant others lyrics to a song. But that which you do is you text them in single sentences and be cryptic, like: “I'm so into you, I can barely breathe” wait for their response. Then type the next verse, “And all I wanna do is always to fall in deep” - watch for a response.
Their response will usually be confusion. That example is Ariana Grande “Into You” - simply take the lyric and send your “victim” the text.
