Basically, the lyric prank, or sometimes referred to as the lyric challenge, is challenging produced by some guy called Mike Fox. The basic ‘rules'of the process are that you text someone (usually a boyfriend or a relative, depending about what the song is) song lyric.
You're prohibited to use anything however the lyrics of that song. Say like you used ‘Sorry'by good ol'Justin Bieber, your conversation would go something like this (let's just use your clueless mom) :

Mom: What ? Perhaps you have lost the plot again ?

Mom: that's certainly true. What's this even about michael (??)
You: I hope I don't run out of time, will someone call a referee ?

A lyric prank is whenever you text your friend, family or significant others lyrics to a song. But everything you do is you text them in single sentences and be cryptic, like: “I'm so into you, I can barely breathe” await their response. Then type the following verse, “And all I wanna do is to fall in deep” - await a response.
Their response will often be confusion. That example is Ariana Grande “Into You” - just take the lyric and send your “victim” the text.
