Basically, the lyric prank, or sometimes known as the lyric challenge, is difficult developed by some guy called Mike Fox. The essential ‘rules'of the challenge are that you text someone (usually a boyfriend or a family member, depending on which the song is) song lyric.
You're prohibited to utilize anything but the lyrics of that song. Say like you used ‘Sorry'by good ol'Justin Bieber, your conversation would go something such as this (let's just use your clueless mom) :

A lyric prank is when you text your friend, family or significant others lyrics to a song. But what you do is you text them in single sentences and be cryptic, like: “I'm so into you, I will barely breathe” wait for their response. Then type another verse, “And all I wanna do is to fall in deep” - wait for a response.
Their response will usually be confusion. That example is Ariana Grande “Into You” - simply take the lyric and send your “victim” the text.
