Basically, the lyric prank, or sometimes known as the lyric challenge, is a challenge created by a guy called Mike Fox. The essential ‘rules'of the process are that you text someone (usually a man or a member of family, depending about what the song is) song lyric.
You're banned to use anything but the lyrics of this song. Say for instance you used ‘Sorry'by good ol'Justin Bieber, your conversation would go something such as this (let's just use your clueless mom) :
You: You gotta go and get angry at most of my honesty
Mom: What ? Have you lost the plot again ?
You: You realize I try but I don't do to well with apologies
Mom: that's certainly true. What's this even about michael (??)
You: I hope I don't come to an end of time, will someone call a referee ?
Mom: You're up for adoption
You: -_-
You: IT'S A PRANK
Mom: you're still up for adoption
You: …
See ? And that, ladies and gentle men, is the Lyric Prank.
A lyric prank is once you text your friend, family or significant others lyrics to a song. But what you do is you text them in single sentences and be cryptic, like: “I'm so into you, I could barely breathe” await their response. Then type another verse, “And all I wanna do is always to fall in deep” - watch for a response.
Their response will often be confusion. That example is Ariana Grande “Into You” - simply take the lyric and send your “victim” the text.
A lyric prank is a series of texting sent using words from the certain song to a certain person. The prank is mainly to troll the goal or to obtain them super confused.

A lyric prank is when you are texting someone the lyrics of a tune and they don't really it. Example:
