Basically, the lyric prank, or sometimes referred to as the lyric challenge, is challenging created by some guy called Mike Fox. The basic ‘rules'of the task are that you text someone (usually a companion or a relative, depending on what the song is) song lyric.

A lyric prank is once you text your friend, family or significant others lyrics to a song. But what you do is you text them in single sentences and be cryptic, like: “I'm so into you, I can barely breathe” wait for their response. Then type the following verse, “And all I wanna do is always to fall in deep” - wait for a response.
Their response will usually be confusion. That example is Ariana Grande “Into You” - simply take the lyric and send your “victim” the text.
A lyric prank is some text messages sent using words from the certain song to a certain person. The prank is mostly to troll the mark or to have them super confused.
