Basically, the lyric prank, or sometimes called the lyric challenge, is a challenge produced by a man called Mike Fox. The basic ‘rules'of the task are that you text someone (usually a partner or a family member, depending on what the song is) song lyric.
You're banned to utilize anything but the lyrics of that song. Say as an example you used ‘Sorry'by good ol'Justin Bieber, your conversation would go something similar to this (let's just use your clueless mom) :

Mom: What ? Have you lost the plot again ?
You: You realize I try but I don't do to well with apologies
Mom: that's certainly true. What's this even about michael (??)
You: I hope I don't come to an end of time, will someone call a referee ?

A lyric prank is whenever you text your friend, family or significant others lyrics to a song. But everything you do is you text them in single sentences and be cryptic, like: “I'm so into you, I can barely breathe” await their response. Then type the next verse, “And all I wanna do is always to fall in deep” - watch for a response.
Their response will usually be confusion. That example is Ariana Grande “Into You” - just take the lyric and send your “victim” the text.
