Basically, the lyric prank, or sometimes known as the lyric challenge, is a challenge produced by a man called Mike Fox. The basic ‘rules'of the challenge are that you text someone (usually a man or a relative, depending on which the song is) song lyric.

A lyric prank is once you text your friend, family or significant others lyrics to a song. But that which you do is you text them in single sentences and be cryptic, like: “I'm so into you, I could barely breathe” await their response. Then type the next verse, “And all I wanna do is to fall in deep” - wait for a response.
Their response will most likely be confusion. That example is Ariana Grande “Into You” - take the lyric and send your “victim” the text.
