Basically, the lyric prank, or sometimes known as the lyric challenge, is challenging created by a man called Mike Fox. The fundamental ‘rules'of the process are that you text someone (usually a sweetheart or a relative, depending on what the song is) song lyric.
You're prohibited to use anything but the lyrics of this song. Say as an example you used ‘Sorry'by good ol'Justin Bieber, your conversation would go something such as this (let's just use your clueless mom) :
You: You gotta go and get angry at every one of my honesty
Mom: What ? Have you lost the plot again ?
You: You understand I try but I don't do to well with apologies
Mom: that's certainly true. What's this even about michael (??)
You: I hope I don't go out of time, will someone call a referee ?
Mom: You're up for adoption

You: IT'S A PRANK
Mom: you're still up for adoption
You: …

A lyric prank is when you text your friend, family or significant others lyrics to a song. But that which you do is you text them in single sentences and be cryptic, like: “I'm so into you, I will barely breathe” await their response. Then type the next verse, “And all I wanna do is to fall in deep” - await a response.
Their response will often be confusion. That example is Ariana Grande “Into You” - take the lyric and send your “victim” the text.
A lyric prank is some texting sent using words from the certain song to a certain person. The prank is mainly to troll the goal or to get them super confused.

A lyric prank is when you are texting someone the lyrics of a song and they don't really it. Example:
