Basically, the lyric prank, or sometimes known as the lyric challenge, is a challenge developed by a guy called Mike Fox. The fundamental ‘rules'of the challenge are that you text someone (usually a companion or a family member, depending on which the song is) song lyric.
You're not allowed to make use of anything but the lyrics of that song. Say like you used ‘Sorry'by good ol'Justin Bieber, your conversation would go something similar to this (let's just use your clueless mom) :
You: You gotta go and get angry at every one of my honesty
Mom: What ? Perhaps you have lost the plot again ?
You: You understand I try but I don't do to well with apologies
Mom: that's certainly true. What's this even about michael (??)
You: I am hoping I don't run out of time, will someone call a referee ?
Mom: You're up for adoption
You: -_-
You: IT'S A PRANK
Mom: you're still up for adoption
You: …
See ? And that, ladies and gentle men, may be the Lyric Prank.
A lyric prank is whenever you text your friend, family or significant others lyrics to a song. But what you do is you text them in single sentences and be cryptic, like: “I'm so into you, I can barely breathe” await their response. Then type the following verse, “And all I wanna do would be to fall in deep” - await a response.
Their response will often be confusion. That example is Ariana Grande “Into You” - just take the lyric and send your “victim” the text.
A lyric prank is a series of text messages sent using words from a certain song to a certain person. The prank is certainly caused by to troll the goal or to have them super confused.

A lyric prank is when you are texting someone the lyrics of a song and they don't really it. Example:
