Basically, the lyric prank, or sometimes referred to as the lyric challenge, is challenging developed by a guy called Mike Fox. The essential ‘rules'of the challenge are that you text someone (usually a boyfriend or a family member, depending about what the song is) song lyric.
You're banned to make use of anything but the lyrics of the song. Say for example you used ‘Sorry'by good ol'Justin Bieber, your conversation would go something such as this (let's just use your clueless mom) :
You: You gotta go and get angry at all my honesty
Mom: What ? Perhaps you have lost the plot again ?
You: You realize I try but I don't do to well with apologies
Mom: that's certainly true. What's this even about michael (??)
You: I really hope I don't go out of time, will someone call a referee ?
Mom: You're up for adoption
You: -_-
You: IT'S A PRANK
Mom: you're still up for adoption
You: …
See ? And that, ladies and gentle men, may be the Lyric Prank.
A lyric prank is once you text your friend, family or significant others lyrics to a song. But what you do is you text them in single sentences and be cryptic, like: “I'm so into you, I can barely breathe” await their response. Then type the following verse, “And all I wanna do would be to fall in deep” - watch for a response.
Their response will most likely be confusion. That example is Ariana Grande “Into You” - simply take the lyric and send your “victim” the text.
A lyric prank is some texts sent using words from a certain song to a specific person. The prank is certainly caused by to troll the target or to have them super confused.

A lyric prank is when you are texting someone the lyrics of a song and they don't it. Example:
John: This has been an extended day, without you my friend.
Jane: I understand right. I haven't seen you all day!

Jane: Why don't you tell me today?
John: We've come quite a distance from where we began
Jane: WAIT!! You remember once we met? In 2nd grade!!
John: Oh I'll inform you exactly about it when I help you again.
Jane: Why can't you just tell me now!!?
John: When I help you again.
Jane: Oh!! You want to ensure it is special!! When I help you again we will talk.
